How long is the trip?

You have your choice of a one half day (4 hrs.) or non-snorkeling 3 hour sightseeing tour if ocean conditions are not favorable for snorkeling.

Where do I go to meet the boat?

NaPali Sea Breeze Tours normally leaves from the Anini Beach Boat Ramp. During the winter months the Sea Breeze departs from Lihue’s Nawiliwili Small Boat Harbor. March through October during the NaPali tour season you meet us at 3336-C Kalihiwai Road to park and we shuttle you to Anini Beach Park - 5 minutes away.

What time does the boat leave?

Morning departure check in is 7:00 AM and afternoon tour check in is at 12:30 PM. Depending on the season, daylight occurs around 6:00 AM.

What about motion sickness?

If you have a tendency for motion sickness, there are preventive over-the-counter medications such as Dramamine and Bonine. They work very well when taken the night before your fishing charter and again, an hour before you get on the Sea Breeze.. On a private charter, you may request that the boat return to port. However, on a shared fishing trip, we cannot return to port unless all passengers on board are in agreement. For reasons of safety and motion sickness, we discourage young children (under the age of 7) and pregnant women from participating on a shared fishing charter. Pregnant women in their 2nd trimester should not be on the ocean in any sea conditions. If you’re in your 3rd trimester, you may not go at all.

What should I bring?

Pack lightly and most of all, dress comfortably. Bring a light jacket or sweatshirt, camera, sun visor or hat, and towel. Bring lots of sun screen as the sun is extra hot on Kauai’s waters. Your chances of getting burned are far greater than anywhere else so please take proper precautions to protect yourself.

What does it mean to be Coast Guard certified?

NaPali Sea Breeze Tours satisfies mandatory Coast Guard requirements each year. This means that the Sea Breeze is thoroughly inspected annually to ensure that all its safety gear is current, all wiring is in place, all switches are operable, and there are no fire hazards (the engine is cleaned and there’s no oil in the bilge). We carry COast Guard certified life jackets and a mandatory life boat for an emergency evacuation.
